Just now looking for commentary on Rat and Mole giving alcohol to minors in this chapter. Maybe mulling cooks it out. It made me laugh, anyway. Mole seems to have adorably tacky Victorian taste, all cherubs andc cornucopia, as Oscar Wilde might remark. I didn't read Rat as being upper class, just a rustic comfortable guy. Thanks again for the discussion!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16839146824715117602noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8311005867555347797.post-58322773053715839332012-12-27T07:05:15.759-06:002012-12-27T07:05:15.759-06:00Thanks, Helen! I was surprised at how different The Wind in the Willows was when I read it as an adult from the way I remembered it. But I loved it both times.elizabethhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17825540813779206354noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8311005867555347797.post-5068755374022585462012-12-27T07:03:34.535-06:002012-12-27T07:03:34.535-06:00Thanks, Lisa May!
